Ratings   (explanation of our rating system)

Global rating :
Difficult to classify this place... Of course, it uses water from a spa and features several classical rotenburo and two cave baths. But at the same time, it allows visitors to use swimsuits - and everybody is doing so - and even offers a large swimming pool...

Size :
There is a incredible number of baths here! And even a huge pool, which means that it never looks really crowded.

View :
Most baths are located next to a river, offering a pleasant surrounding. The baths which are located the farthest from the entrance are just in front of a magnificent waterfall; The view is definitively one of the best we have seen so far - a feeling increased by the fact that no buildings can be seen from there.

Modesty :
Although swimsuits are not mandatory, and people can bath with just a towel if they want so, we always saw everybody in swimsuit there! Don't trust the official pictures on the web site, where all women are just wearing a towel in the baths...

Area :
Located between Shimoda and Shuzenji onsen, the area is not especially attractive, but conveniently located close to some of the most interesting towns of Izu.
