Ratings   (explanation of our rating system)

Global rating :
Ideyusou is a small, old ryokan located about one kilometer from the Kumomi beach. It is easily reached by foot, but if you prefer to drive, be warned that the road leading to the place is really narrow. This ryokan doesn't offer meals - only rooms for 5000 yens per person, which might be a little overpriced. The large rotenburo, however, is worth a visit. Water is limpid, and of pleasant temperature.

Size :
Just one outside mixed bath, but fairly sized.

View :
The rotenburo is located almost under trees, and quite well sheltered from outsider's sight. There are some strange objects around the bath, including the statue of a mermaid and a water wheel.

Modesty :
Women and men have separated changing rooms, as well as a very small inside bath (just for one person). You have a fairly reasonable chance to be by yourself in the rotenburo, too.

Area :
Nishi Izu is a great place for scuba diving, offering stunning sceneries. Highly recommended destination. Due to the lack of public transportations (only car and buses can reach the area), the place is much less crowded than the east coast of Izu.
