| | Global rating : | | Onsen famous to cure skin problem, you can find a mud bath and steaming bath called mushiburo (蒸し風呂 むしぶろ)
| Size : | | Many different kinds of bath from mud one to the vapor one, very good combination. I just have some regrets not to find there a mixed bath.
| View : | | Very difficult to explain what I saw, when I went there it was really foggy, rainy and a cold wind was blowing. Hope to go there again and give a better description but what I suppose is a view over the mountain and the volcano close to there.
| Area : | | Interesting to visit the nature trail (2km) allowing you to watch volcanic phenomena, see also Tamagawa onsen.

As some of you perhaps know, in the north of Tohoku, in Aomori and Akita prefecture, the people use to speak a kind of dialect named Akita-ben. When I was there and some old Japanese try to speak with me in this dialect about the very bad weather we had, I can not understand really what there were speaking about. So just learn this two words for the rainy day : ameko (little rain) and okame (big rain) and they will be delighted to hear some Akita-ben spoken by a foreigner.
