| Just one foot step from the highway, Nagano IC, this very quite old fashion onsen is interesting for many points. There you will usually find the old people from the neighborhood but not a lot of foreigner or visiting people. Another interesting point is the high concentration of iron species in this bath making a nice yellowish color. When we arrive first time, the owner explained about this onsen and made me smell the carbonate gas.

| The inside baths are narrow but about 15 meters long, nice shape to be next to people and start a conversation. You will also find two outside baths where usually women don’t go. | |

| The view on the fields and the Nagano apple trees from outside, you can also enjoy the sound of the source and the smoke coming directly from it. If you have time have a look at the building, which denotes with the context, it looks like more a Victorian building than a Japanese one. | |
| Modesty : | |
| Only the outside baths are mixed and usually no women use them. To access them you have to walk little bit outside the building and in front of people arriving, for shy people it can be a problem. But when you enter the water, due to its yellowish color, you can really relax without of any fear that somebody will watch you. | |

| Nagano is well-know for its winter resorts and this place really worst a stop, just exit at the Nagano IC. I want to say this place is very convenient for any people driving from Tokyo or Nagoya and enjoying the many activities you can find in Nagano prefecture, just stop by. | |
| Ask the owner about his onsen, and as me, he will show you the source of the onsen and when trying to smell it, push your head a little bit, and there you will smell the carbonate, very surprising and of course the laugh of old the usual visitors. I really enjoy this place, in fact it was my first bath in a iron salts bath and for everybody, don’t forget to drink a little bit of the water for the taste. Alessandro |
