Ratings   (explanation of our rating system)

Global rating :
A lodge situated in the Kusatsu onsen resort. If you don't like japanese breakfast, there you will always have a nice European style breakfast waiting for you. This lodge is only ten minutes by walk to the main spots of Kusatsu.

Size :
For a small lodge, the size of the bath are bigger than necessary, just for our pleasure.

View :
Look at the picture and you will understand what kind of view.

Area :
Kusatsu area attracts visitors all year round. In Summer, the Kusatsu-Shirane volcano is a must, with its extremely acid, emerald-green crater lake; visitors are not allowed to reach the shore of this lake, but are offered a breathtaking view on it. In winter, Kusatsu transform to a lively ski resort. People spend then their time between the ski fields and the onsen. In the middle of the town, the Yubatake is a natural system for cooling down the onsen water, which flows at 5000 liters per minute! In Kusatsu, some 20 free public baths, usually small, can be found.

Comment

For people who donft want to pay too much for an hotel, this one is perfect, you can stay there for about 5000 yen and enjoy all the spots around and every time I went bathing, I was alone. I advice people to stay there and give a general quote of 4 for the cheap price, good size of the bath and excellent quality of the water.
