Hi Sanji,

I just wanted to know if the place still running in November ?

I really enjoyed the place, and made a comeback fews days later after our meeting. Even if it's quite tough to find, it's a really valuable address !

Unfortunately, no, the place is now closed. It might re-open next January, but perhaps not at the same exact location...

If you are interested by finding good places to drink nihon-shu, you might want to check John Gautner's pages at : http://www.sake-world.com/html/pub-guide.html

There is a fairly good list of places to enjoy this drink, and some have been published on Secret Japan. But no place like that Ginjo bar, unfortunately...

Ginjo Bar Kura 66 (吟醸バ- 蔵66) - sake bar *****

Address - Inside Tokyo Station, underground section (B1) on the east side (Yaesu south exit)
Opening hours - 16:00-23:00 (15:00-21:00 on Sat, Sun & Hol)
Telephone : 090-9012-1231

This bar is now CLOSED

This is the best place to enjoy some sake in Tokyo. It is a standing bar, and you can choose between 66 different sake, all ginjo-shu and daiginjo (the best quality). They also have sake brewers coming from time to time to introduce their best brands.

Glasses contain 60 mL and are sold for 300-400 yen. You can buy for 1100 yen worth of ticket for 1000 yen. Note that the place can be really crowded the week days.

web - official site www.ginjyoshu.jp/bar.html
coupon here (free glass of sake, 1 coupon per person) : gourmet.gyao.jp/0003015646_map.html

Access map (from www.ginjyoshu.jp/ginjyo-bar2007/store.html ) - print it and take it with you, it is not that easy to find:
