We'll go to Japan next July ; we sould stay at Kamakura during two days and find cheap and confortable Ryokan or minshuku in this town.

We would like a moderately priced place up to $150 per night for a couple. We like Japanese style rooms. I checked out the ryokans suggested but the locations were either in the city or the neighborhood lacked atmosphere.

I merged your message to a topic that was started a couple of days ago, also about lodging in Kamakura.

There are only limited options for ryokan in the heart of the city. Very limited, as a matter of fact.

The most usual accommodations are large hotels, like the Kamakura Prince Hotel or the Kamakura Park Hotel (typical price from 150$/room).

If you check on jalan.net, you will find very limited choice for Kamakura. And no ryokan/minshuku located really in the center of the town. It seems that Enoshima has more options...
