Where in Osaka for one night ?

Hello,
I'll be staying 24 hours in Osaka before flying out from Kansai international airport.  
I hesitate between a hotel in Umeda or a ryokan in Tempozan (which is convenient as I'd like to see the aquarium). But what about Tempozan at night ?  If I stay there, I may miss something, for example food, which I read Osaka is famous for ... (though after one week in Tokyo I may want to escape the hustle and bustle of downtown Osaka!).    
Do you have a suggestion or advice to make the most of my stay there ? Thanks in advance.
