Nice beach

We are travelling to Japan in July for our honey moon.
We are looking for a nice little place by the sea to rest a few days, enjoy the local beach and local life...

Do you have any idea where we could go - either on Honshu, Shikoku or Kyushu (Okinawa is a bit too far and expensive at that time of the year for us - unless you have great advice)
