I just finished my trip.

There are two designated camping areas on the trail. One is at point 4 on the trail, the other is at point 7. Point 7 is the old camp and should not be used if at all possible. I would hazard a guess ... |

My wife is from okinawa, she is telling me if you book the trip 28 days in advance, and it is not on a Japanese Holiday, the airfare is almost the same as the old ferry rates. (15000 round trip)
