Hey Does anyone have any experience with wireless internet whilst traveling in japan ? is it worthwhile bringing my laptop and who would be the most reliable carrier for wireless coverage, we will be ranging from Osaka to Aomori prefectures.
Any suggestions are good ones !!
I have a love of wild places and a fear of missing a tweet !! LOL :wink:

Hello and here you go, check this website : http://www.freespot.com/ (japanese version) and more usefull I think the (english version) http://www.freespot.com/users/map_e.html
Press on the map and the website will return the free spot for internet.

| They have pretty fast internet connections though I am certain that was greatly affected by the earthquake that hit them more than a year back but I am guessing that things would have been repaired and made better right about this time, if not earlier into the year. They are really efficient and that is one of their strong suits in being able to get around things just like that. |

Wi-fi is available in almost all the restaurants and hotels so it is not a big matter to use a internet there. Any how if you have to stay there for a long time then you can get a connection on cheap rates...
Even many economical packages are available for foreign visitors. |
