Hello all
We are making our annual pilgrimage to Japan this May/June with intentions of catching a train to Tohoku and hiring a car to explore the area's onsen, Konyoku is usually on the list so that my wife and I can bathe together, Being an Aussie nudist from way back I like to be able to walk in nature and (theoretically) "discover' great spots to go au naturale in riverside onsen or swimming holes. So has anyone got any suggestions? we will be staying at Sukaya Onsen for about 6 nights, so that would be a good base for day trips. P.S. My nihongo is pretty basic so keep instructions as though you were telling your grandfather.
Thanks and looking forward to adventures |

Hi,
You can try our list of onsen at www.secret-japan.com/onsen
Use the Search engine and choose your region : Tohoku and push the mixed bath button
(I got 5 answers, 2 in Akita, 2 in Aomori, 1 in Fukushima).
I have no place for wild onsen in nature but I know there are alot, if somebody knows ? |
